Application:
The CNC Gantry Plate Drilling and Milling Machine is engineered for high-accuracy machining of tube sheets, flanges, bearing plates, heat exchangers, and various plate-type components used in industries including petrochemical engineering, nuclear power, wind energy, boiler manufacturing, and structural steel fabrication. The machine supports high-speed carbide drilling with through-spindle coolant as well as high-speed twist drilling with external coolant supply. By integrating drilling, chamfering, tapping, milling, and boring into one CNC machining system, it delivers outstanding flexibility and production efficiency. An optional automatic right-angle attachment further expands machining capability, enabling efficient side drilling, tapping, and milling of complex components.

1. The machine is primarily composed of a heavy-duty machine base, longitudinal slide assembly, gantry frame, transverse slide, vertical feed mechanism, drilling and milling spindle head, worktable, coolant circulation system, automatic chip conveying system, centralized lubrication unit, pneumatic system, electrical control cabinet, and auxiliary components, providing a complete, highly efficient machining solution.
2. The servo-controlled sliding spindle head is designed to perform drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, and slot milling operations. It can function independently or coordinate with multiple CNC axes to maximize machining versatility. The spindle is equipped with a high-precision Taiwan-made BT50 spindle featuring an internal coolant system and a disc-spring automatic tool clamping mechanism. Hydraulic tool release enables rapid and convenient replacement of drilling and milling tools, improving machining efficiency and minimizing downtime.
3. High-precision linear guideways are installed throughout the machine to ensure smooth movement, high rigidity, and exceptional motion accuracy. The feed mechanism is driven by an AC servo motor through a synchronous belt and precision ball screw system, delivering outstanding positioning precision, repeatability, and stable long-term machining performance.
4. The machine base and gantry frame are manufactured from premium-grade cast iron or heavy-duty welded steel plate structures. All major structural components undergo high-temperature stress-relief treatment before machining, followed by a secondary stress-relief process after semi-finishing. Final precision machining ensures superior structural strength, excellent dimensional stability, and consistent machining accuracy throughout the machine's operating life.
